Qualifications

Job Requirements of Wound Care Nurse:

  • Must be a Licensed Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the state where our facility is located (FL)
  • Minimum of one years experience in long-term care setting
  • Must be a supportive team member, contribute to, and be an example of teamwork.
  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and willingness to work harmoniously with staff.https://crw.flclearinghttps://info.flclearinghouse.com/ 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Wound Care Nurse:

  • Perform wound assessments, reassessment, and management for all residents.
  • Create plan of care including goals, treatment, evaluation and outcomes of residents.
  • Provide education to residents, family, and staff regarding wound management, prevention, support, and other therapies.
  • Direct nursing care to the residents, and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by CNAs and other nursing personnel.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skill to develop and implement policies and procedures to manage residents with wounds.
  • Included in the On Call rotation
